Inorganic modified green mudstone (MGM) was prepared from the (GM) residue of Fushun West Open Pit Mine and characterized by XRF, XRD, FTIR, SEM GM MGM. According to calculation pore size BET equation, specific surface area MGM were larger. The results adsorption kinetics isothermal experiments showed that capacity for phosphate increased 0.1 mg/g 0.71 mg/g, which obviously better than GM. accorded with quasi-second-order kinetic model. data Freundlich model, Langmuir indicated model an process a double layer single layer.
